In 2008, Vancouver experienced a drop in temperature that left four Downtown Eastside homeless shelters scrambling to find blankets. The JSS donated 308 blankets and 100 new jackets to Salvation Army Harbour Lights for distribution. |

The JSS gave a cheque to the Burnaby Association for Community Inclusion to support teens with developmental disabilities in becoming fully participating members in society. The program doesn’t receive government funding.
